The Amity Intern Teacher Program

Amity Institute is a nonprofit organization that works to build international friendship and cultural understanding through the exchange of teaching. For over forty years, Amity students came to the United States to bring their language and culture to life, working in classrooms to engage and motivate students and leave them with a new confidence in their ability to communicate across borders.

This year SLLIS has the privilege of hosting 16 enthusiastic young men and women through the Amity program, most of them working as teaching assistants in the first and second year classrooms, both in the French school and Spanish. To learn more about our interns click on the interactive map or the links below.

If you are interested in becoming a host family or contributing to this program through volunteering and donations, please contact the SLLIS Intern Task Force at sllispainterns@gmail.com.
