Andrea was born in Bogotá, Colombia. Before moving to St. Louis, she lived in Boyacá. She is a foreign language teaching program student in Colombia at the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia.

She has gained experience in teaching children of different social classes and different ages. She has taught French and English and she believes that children are teaching HER all the time.
