Joris was born in Woippy, a town in the Lorraine region of France. He studies English at the University in Metz. He learned his first English word at the age of seven, and has had a great love for the English language ever since. He cultivates his English by reading novels and watching old American movies (Hitchcock being his very favorite!) Joris is an open minded, extroverted young man, who has travelled extensively through Europe and loves to meet new people. He always welcomes the gift of a new experience and is thrilled to be in Saint Louis. He will finally practice his English daily and looks forward to his first Columbus Day, Thanksgiving and Fourth of July! He comes to SLLIS with great enthusiasm and the desire to integrate himself fully in the life of his host family. Joris is temporarily living with the Doctor family, and is available to be hosted in the first semester.
